ABOUT
Hello! I am a Ph.D student at Columbia University studying the implementation of U.S. sanctions on Iran through the lens of political theater.
Prior to joining the Communication Program at the Columbia Journalism School, I earned my M.A. at New York University, where I wrote my thesis on issues of masculinity in intergenerational Iranian American households. I also hold a B.A. from The University of California, San Diego, where my research focused on the pre-revolutionary National Iranian Radio and Television system. In my free time, I am an advocate and foster for shelter dogs in New York City.
